Britton Scotland began with Amy, who grew up valuing resourcefulness and a love of making things — a mindset shaped by her granny’s belief in making the most of what you had. That early influence continues to guide everything we do today.
Our shop in Dornoch is an expression of those values. It’s a space built around storytelling, where every product has been carefully curated not just for how it looks, but for the care, craftsmanship, and thought behind it. Each item has a story to tell — of materials, makers, and mindful choices — and we make those stories part of the experience.
For our collections, we work with collaborators who share our commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and transparency. Alongside these partnerships, our own Britton Scotland products are manufactured in Stirling, in our own workshop where items are made thoughtfully and responsibly, keeping our environmental footprint as low as possible.
We have developed ranges using our own Harris Tweed, and tartan while also giving new life to leftover materials and rescued fabrics, transforming them into beautiful, sustainable products designed to last. Vintage tweed, when it appears, is always a joy — a reminder of tradition, longevity, and reuse.
At its heart, Britton Scotland is about tradition meeting sustainability, and about creating things you’ll love and live with for a long time.
If you feel like staying a while, our chatting chair is always there — an invitation to pause, sit down, and hear more of the stories behind what we make.
