Lambing Live at Davochfin Farm

Experience the magic of spring on the farm! Join us for a unique, hands-on family adventure during our Live Lambing event at Davochfin Farm.

Spring is the most exciting time of year on the farm, and now you have the incredible chance to take part in the lambing process as it gets into full swing!

What You’ll Do:

Join farmers Rob and Emma in the lambing shed for an insightful and practical experience, perfect for all ages.

This roughly two-hour hands-on activity includes:

• Lambing Aftercare: Learning how to care for newborn lambs and their mothers.

• Bottle Feeding: Getting the chance to bottle feed orphaned or requiring-assistance lambs.

• Nursing Pens: Helping to set up and manage the nursing pens.

🧑‍🌾 Areas We Will Cover:

You’ll get an up-close look at Davochfin’s flock of pedigree Texels and Mules, and learn vital aspects of the farming calendar, including:

• Looking after and feeding pregnant ewes.

• Identifying labour and dealing with birthing issues.

• Assisting with the birth of lambs and immediate aftercare.

• Bedding up sheep pens and preparing nursing areas.

• The exciting moment of putting ewes and lambs out to pasture.

⏱️ Time Slots (Daily):

Choose the session that works best for your family:

• Morning: 9:30 am – 11:30 am

• Afternoon: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

• Late Afternoon: 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
