Tablet Braid Workshop with Sarah Mawson

Join Sarah Mawson, leader of CATU Dornoch Living History for this traditional Tablet Braid workshop, where you’ll learn to design and weave your very own Viking bracelet. Using traditional tablet weaving techniques, no previous experience is required.

CATU is a Living History Group, connected to the Dornoch Heritage Society and Historylinks Museum. Their main area of interest is in the Pictish, Gaelic and Norse eras of the Northern Highlands. They welcome enthusiastic members who are interested in history or archaeology and would like to make costume, engage in traditional crafts, perform music, cook authentic food and enjoy sharing these interests with others through demonstrations, events and workshops.
