Dark Skies Workshop

Whether you’ve photographed the stars before or never tried, a dark Highland sky in November is the place to learn – and Dornoch is among the best you’ll find.

The evening’s work begins at 7pm with an hour alongside Andrew Allan of Scotland’s Night Sky on the craft of photographing the night sky – reading the conditions, setting up your camera, and making the most of the dark.From there we head down to Dornoch Beach, where Andrew works with the group one to one, helping you capture the stars above the Highland coast.This is a small-group workshop, with plenty of time for proper guidance and tuition along the way. Bring your own camera; telescopes will be on hand for a closer look at the constellations.

Two ways to join us
Event only – £40 per person. The workshop, 7pm to 9pm.
Dinner and event – £55 per person. Arrive from 6pm for a one-course dinner in Bar Ross before the workshop begins.
