Winston the Bear is coming to Dornoch Bookshop!

Come along on Saturday 10th October, from 10.30 am–12.30 to meet Winston, discover his exciting Dornoch-based adventure and meet Catherine MacCulloch, author of Winston the Bear and the Dragon of the Black Firs.

A children’s picture book for ages 3–8, the story is inspired by a local Dornoch folk tale and brings the legend of the Dragon of the Black Firs to life through charming illustrations and photographs taken around Dornoch.  It’s an exciting local adventure that encourages families to head outdoors, explore the town and go on their very own dragon hunt together!

Here’s what’s in store:

  • Meet Winston: Come and say hello to the star of the story in person!
  • Enjoy a reading: Hear Catherine read Winston the Bear and the Dragon of the Black Firs.
  • Get your book signed: Take home a signed copy with a personalised message from Catherine.
  • See Winston’s dragon-hunting kit: Get a close-up look at what Winston packs for his dragon-hunting adventures!
